What You Need To Know About New Echo Dot Designs
Yesterday was the start of a Day 1 Editions program reveal. For those unfamiliar, the Day 1 editions is a new program that showcase designer’s favorite up and coming mockups of Alexa-approved devices. This time, there are three new Echo dot designs to choose from (left to right below); Midnight Kiss, Ikats, and Twigs.
As far as the Echo Dot itself, it’s still 4th generation so the latest seen this year.
Unfortunately in order to receive one of these Diane von Furstenberg originals, you’ll need to preorder your preferred design. The kicker is that only one will be built based on which design gets the highest number of preorders by August 13th.
The winning design will be built and those who choose it prior to Aug 13th will be charged 59.99.
*Those who order after will be charged 69.99.
Also, it’s estimated to ship between Dec 2021 and Mar 2022. 🤞🏾
For the other two designs that don’t reach its pre-order goal — they won’t be built and thur you won’t be charged.
This approach is very similar to Kickstarter. Where some creators showcase their invention and those interest click to add funds towards their goal amount.
