Top Destinations I Plan to Visit After Quarantine Part 1
If you’re like me, then some of your best ideas come from the shower. I just got these curtains the other day.
Idk what made me do this but I just started really looking at the curtain and it made me think of all the places I used to dream of exploring. I even did reports on them in school. Looking at the map, I figured out how many countries I wanna start visiting either next year, 2022, or whenever it’s safe to travel again. I have been meaning to study aboard in college but never got around it due to multiple issues at the time. I have traveled to places in the past but never to other continents. Fear not! I’m no longer in school but I can still go to my dream destinations.
*On a side note, if you noticed there are a lot more mentions of food, I apologize since I’m writing this article with a growling stomach.🤤
Ok, on that note these are the first few counties I would visit.
- France 🇫🇷
Ahh, what’s not to love about the country of romance? The iconic attractions, fashion, and of course, food. I would go on a day trip to Paris and visit the Eiffel Tower, and the Palace of Versailles. Eiffel Tower is a classic spot to visit with its rich history and such.
Versailles would be amazing to see in person, experience a little of Louis the 15th’s vision of paradise, and plus the decor is going to inspire to add gold towards my bedroom. I would visit Paris first then travel west to Rousen (mini Paris) and visit the same places Joan of Arc once visited. Stop by the Joan of Arc museum to start the day.
Maybe have lunch or dinner at La Couronne, the same restaurant where Julia Childs first learned to cook. Maybe take another day trip to Le Genre, the same place where Normandy Beach hailed and as a history buff, this would be the closest I get to a past battlefront such as the one on D-day. Plus, there are tons of Middle Age excursions to do as well.
Also, I most definitely want to travel south to really experience spring in the countryside; it looks soo pretty and relaxing.
Who wouldn’t wanna instantly take pictures?
Another reason would be the food. French food is mainly simple and light especially their desserts. I’m thinking of trying some coq au vin, lobster bisque, and even ratatouille.
2. Italy 🇮🇹
Italy, a country full of history, culture, fashion, and food. Between the northern cities of Milan & Florence to Rome to the island of Sicily, there’s so much to sightseeing to do. I am definitely going to visit the Colosseum, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Pompeii, and various temples.
Another cool spot would be Capri, a small island 3 miles from Naples. As I visit Naples, I would take a few hours to explore their cave, Blue Grotto.
I can’t wait to try some yummy authentic dishes. Plus, each region’s cuisine looks too good to be true. I have a feeling I would never go hungry while in Italy. Focaccia, Ossobuco, and Ribollita are among those I wanna taste. What I really want is to visit Pizza Napoletana in Naples, the official birthplace of pizza.
3. Japan🇯🇵
The country that’s made of hundreds of little islands. I been dreaming to go to Japan since I was 13. It started due to my growing love of anime but as I watched more and listen to more j-pop, I really appreciated the overall culture. To me, Japan has always been a mix of the future and the past with its advanced technology and historical temples/castles. Kyoto Imperial Palace and self-acclaimed geek capital, Akihabara is among the places I would visit.
Besides sushi and ramen, there are tons of other great options that I really want to try some dishes such as Donburi, Takoyaki, Kashipan, and Dango 🍡 . There are tons of restaurants I plan to visit as well.
Also, their vending machines are unlike any other in the world. There’s even a 24 hour staff-less restaurant that has nothing but vending machines to serve customers burgers to noodles to hot sandwiches.
Doesn’t it all look so yummy?
4. Brazil🇧🇷
The 5th biggest country in the world with over 211 million people. That’s crazy! I would wanna go to Rio, try some Pão de Queijo and many other options to put in my belly.
Luckily besides the food, there are plenty of places to explore.
Lastly, experience Carnival 🎡 in that order.
5. Australia 🇦🇺
Australia is another continent I’m unfamiliar with but viewing some of the multiple countries through TV, it makes me wanna hop on a 12+hour flight to Sydney. Sydney has an amazing art scene and one of the best dance schools in the world. Plus, I would go to the famous Opera house.
Besides the opera house, I would visit both the great barrier reef and the outback.
I definitely want to scuba drive and see all the wonderful sea creatures under the sea.
Definitely going to Kangaroo Island and check out Hutt Lagoon, the infamous pink waters look so pretty in videos. I must experience it in person.
I would taste some of their most famous dishes including meat pies, Barramundi, Emu, and of course, drink some Milo.
Hungry now?
Well, this is only the beginning. Hopefully I can visit these places whenever there’s an effective vaccine for COVID-19. Fingers cross cause I can’t imagine a life without being able to fly aboard during the reminder of my lifetime. That would be a hard pill to swallow.
A girl can still daydream even more destinations on part 2 where I’ll go in depth with best ways to save for these particular vacays.
Until then, stay relaxing!
