What Do They All Have In Common? A Campaign
This is the now-famous quote from the couple’s first-ever collab, the About Love campaign. Tiffany and Co released a 6-second video ad on both their official Twitter and Instagram accounts showcasing a joyful scene of Jay-z & Beyonce enjoying each other’s company.
Aww, ain’t this sweet?
The couple is dressed beautifully in all black showing off some of the latest in the About Love collection including a brooch and necklace.
In the cover image, you can see Jay-Z is wearing the brand’s Apollo Platinum and 18k yellow gold with round brilliant diamonds. The 6-carat brooch is estimated to be worth 40k.
No, it gets better. The necklace Beyoncé is currently sporting was the same one both worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and by Lady Gaga at the Oscars in 2019.
It’s called The Tiffany Diamond. The 128.54-carat yellow diamond is worth up to 30 MILLION Dollars!
That’s right. It even made history.
It’s values alot of zeros and apparently you have to call their customer care line to get a replica.
Nope, there’s still more to this story.
A rare painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat was seen in both the cover image & made a special appearance in the video. This robin egg colored piece is called Equals Pi (1982).
The piece itself is truly one of a kind. Equals Pi depicts a figure in a dunce cap alongside the phrase “Ten Yen” on a. robin egg background.
“Ten Yen” could reference the Japanese coins that were first created in 1955 and reportedly have symbolized economic growth in Japan.
Dating from 1982, Equals Pi had been in the possession of a private collector, until Tiffany — lured in by the piece’s robin egg blue paintwork — acquired the work.
“We don’t have any literature that says he made the painting for Tiffany,” Alexandre Arnault, VP of Tiffany
The rest of the collection is just as stunning. They range from yellow diamond to blue & sliver steering to rose gold.
Man, that’s how you do a campaign. Check out three honorable fan reactions so far.
