Team Brittany Scores A Victory!
Another day, another week in the battle of conservatorship. Everyone have been waiting for something positive to come in Brittany’s favor. Three days ago, a fan flew a #freebrittany in front of their house.
Luckily, we don’t have to wait any longer. It was announced that Brittany’s father, Jamie has stepped down as her conservator.
Remember, Jamie had conservatorship of her estate since 2008 after her very public meltdown. He became sole conservator in 2019 after attorney Andrew Wallet was resigned from co-conservatorship. In September 2019, he temporarily stepped down due to his poor health at the time. He gave control of her personal affairs to Jodi Montgomery. Jamie still took care of her estate. It’s been 13 long years and since that dark period, Brittany has proven that she is better than ever and in great spirits.
*This was her three hours ago, you can’t tell us that she doesn’t deserve full control.
After reading these court filings, there’s no actual reason for Mr. Spears to still be the conservator.
“There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate under Probate Code section 2650. And it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears’ best interests,” the court doc states.
“Nevertheless, even as Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests,” the filing continues. “So even though he must contest this unjustified Petition for his removal, Mr. Spears intends to work with the Court and his daughter’s new attorney to prepare for an orderly transition to a new conservator. As the Court has likely surmised, before Ms. Spears’ new attorney arrived, Mr. Spears had already been working on such a transition with Ms. Spears’ former court-appointed counsel, Sam Ingham.”
Allegedly, Mr. Spears had put out false claims about his daughter in regards to her health over the years. Her legal team is currently trying to continue the fight making his removal permanent.
We are pleased that Mr. Spears and his lawyer have today conceded in a filing that he must be removed. It is vindication for Britney. We are disappointed, however, by their ongoing shameful and reprehensible attacks on Ms. Spears and others,” Rosengart’s statement says. “We look forward to continuing our vigorous investigation into the conduct of Mr. Spears, and others, over the past 13 years, while he reaped millions of dollars from his daughter’s estate, and I look forward to taking Mr. Spears’s sworn deposition in the near future.”
What does it mean for Brittany in future hearings?

Sept 29’s hearing has confirmed that Judge Penny favored having Jamie Spears removed from the conservatorship.
"It’s been a lot of hard work, it’s been intense. I’m proud, Britney’s proud, I think the support of the #FreeBritney movement has been instrumental. To the extent that it allowed my firm to carry the ball across the finish line, I thank them as well.”

Brittany went on to Instagram after the hearing to celebrate this victory by flying a plane.
Public accountant, John Zabel has been appointed as temporary conservator of her estate.
A hearing to consider a request by Spears to end her conservatorship altogether is set for Nov. 12. A second hearing is planned for Dec. 13, when Judge Penny will address financial matters and additional petitions.
